Dr Mark Farrugia is an experienced general practitioner with a special interest in women’s health. Located in Castlemaine, Dr. Farrugia is a GP Obstetrician and a Director at Goldfields Medical Hub.Mark holds an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and a Diploma in Child Health.Now delivering babies in Castlemaine, Kyneton, Maryborough and as far as Geelong - Mark says local women often feel more relaxed and in control giving birth closer to home rather than at busy city-based hospitals.Mark, born at Bacchus Marsh hospital, has a solid background working in rural areas.Healthy women experiencing a normal pregnancy can deliver in a supportive, personal environment close to home with medical services on hand if required, Mark says.Dr. Farrugia also supports local women and people with a uterus seeking medical or surgical termination options.Before becoming a doctor, he was a chiropractor and naturopath.In his free time, Mark enjoys bushwalking and triathlons.
